Our Purpose On DA

This club is not just a fanbase. This is a gathering ground for artists that share the same interests. It's not about just the anime, it's about the art that the fans create. It's about each and every member, without whom there would be no club. Our goal is not to see how many girls can claim any one character or how many members can get their work faved. We're not about that. We never were from the start. The ~dark-horizons is something much more than a fanlisting, a fangirl headquarters, or a statistic-generating account; we are people of all ages (okay, the majority of us are in the teens) that want to share our art and our talent with people who can genuinely appreciate it. We are all growing artists who tend to favor the anime form of art, more specifically Trigun. The purpose of this club is as stated above and also to provide an environment that excludes anime-bashers and others of that sort. Consider us not a fanclub per say, but a sort of fanartist's alliance.

How to Join Dark-Horizons

Not yet a member?

There are a few basic Membership Requirements that you should read first. After you have read them, send a note as outlined within the requirements.

Are you a new member?

Congratulations on making it this far. It wasn't that hard, now was it? Now that you're a member, there are a couple of things that we ask you to do. They can be found in the Membership Step 2 section of the site.

Basic Requirements

Adhere to the guidelines of the club, as stated in the sections Membership Requirements and Membership Step 2. (These can be found at the bottom of each page by following the appropriate navigational link.)

DO NOT flame! Flaming is an intolerable act of cruelty. Constructive criticism is fine, but rudeness and flaming aren't.

When in doubt, ASK. If you're having problems or aren't sure of any rules/requirements, note the club to ask. We won't bite, and we'd love to know if there's anything that should be stated in a clearer manner.

Enjoy yourself!! Although not an actual rule, there's nothing better than to just enjoy this community and being a member of it. Don't be scared of the rules. They are only here to protect you, and you WILL NOT be kicked out of the club for any trivial matters.

All suggestions for layout and/or how to make this group better are welcome via comment to this journal, as I will see to it that they are considered. Just please don't expect things to change just because you left a suggestion.
